Public Brand Assistant

Share brand guidelines through a public link.

This chapter covers the public-facing version of the Brand Assistant that lets anyone access your brand guidelines through a shareable link.

What Is the Public Assistant?

The Public Brand Assistant is a read-only version of the Brand Assistant that anyone can access via a direct URL -- no Open Wonder account required. It lets external partners, freelancers, and agencies ask questions about your brand guidelines and get instant, accurate answers.

How to Enable It

Your brand must be published before the Public Assistant becomes available. An Admin or Owner can publish the brand from Brand Settings. Once published, the Public Assistant is live and accessible to anyone with the link.

The Public URL

The Public Assistant is accessible at a URL like:

yourdomain.com/assistant/your-org/your-brand

You can copy this link directly from Brand Settings after publishing.

What the Public Assistant Can Do

The Public Assistant has the same brand knowledge as the internal assistant. It can answer questions about:

  • Brand colors, with interactive color swatches
  • Typography, with font specimens
  • Logo usage guidelines, with download options
  • Voice and tone guidelines
  • Visual style direction

External collaborators get the same reliable, on-brand answers your internal team does.

What It Cannot Do

The Public Assistant is intentionally limited compared to the internal version:

  • It does not support the "remember this" feature -- there is no memory persistence between sessions.
  • It cannot update or modify any brand information.
  • It does not display internal style images.
  • It is strictly read-only from a brand knowledge perspective.

These limitations ensure your brand data stays safe while still being useful to external collaborators.

Share the Public Assistant URL anywhere external collaborators need quick access to your brand guidelines:

  • Onboarding documents for new freelancers or agencies
  • Partner portals and shared workspaces
  • Internal wikis that external contributors can access
  • Email signatures or project briefs for cross-team work

The link works instantly -- recipients can start asking brand questions right away without signing up for anything.
